12 Days of Station Celebration: Resonating Reconciliation
December 11, 2014 by CFUZ

On the first day of Station Celebration, we're celebraing the day we received a Resonating Reconciliation grant through the NCRA - fostering a partnership with the Okanagan Indian Educational Resources Society and resulting in a documentary covering the legacy of Indian Residential Schools in Canada. Listen to 'For the Love of Language', an interview with Elder and fluent n'syilxcen language speaker Delphine Derickson which aims to share stories and provide a lasting record of survivor experiences.

Building partnerships with community groups like the OIERS and the En'owkin Centre, and those partnerships resulting in relevant local programming is one the guiding principles of Peach City Radio.

This has been an AMAZING year in the process of building Peach City Radio for you - the community of Penticton. We've decided to get into the holiday spirit by co-opting the special ritual of celebrating the 12 days of Christmas, by sharing with you the 12 Days of Station Celebration!. Over these 12 days, make sure to check in here, or on our Facebook page to read about some of our outstanding achievements throughout 2014.
