Talking About Community Radio in Penticton
February 25, 2013 by CFUZ

Tomorrow, Tuesday February 26, Society president Dave Del Rizzo will be speaking at the Penticton Mueseum Brown-Bag Lecture series on the topic of community radio in Penticton. Dave will be giving an overview of what community radio is in Canada, and how it will benefit our city, once established. He will also talk about the progress of Peach City Radio to date. If you are interested in learning more about Peach City Radio, and you are looking for more information, or a way to get involved, this is the perfect opportunity. The Brown-Bag lectures take place in the Penticton Museum/Library Auditorium at 785 Main St, and begin at noon. Admission is by donation ($2 suggested).

This lecture is the third consecutive presentation highlighting efforts to establish small, community-oriented radio in Penticton. Large thanks to Peter Ord, curator of the Museum, and the lecture series, for allowing community radio to take a position in the spotlight for a little while!

New programs continue to appear on our website, being contributed by eager programmers at Peach City Radio, make sure you check back to our programs page often to keep up to date!
