April 18, 2016 by CFUZ

Congratulations Cannery Brewing - the 2016 CFUZ - Microbrews for Microphones 2016 winning location! Check out their snazzy trophy which they can display proudly over the next year

Peach City Radio would once again like to thank the Barley Mill Brew Pub & Sports Bistro, Bad Tattoo Brewing & Cannery Brewing for their participation this year! A whopping $1353 was raised for Peach City Radio through growler and grunt fills in the month of March.

"Microbrews for Microphones is a fun campaign that we started in 2015, which helps to engage our listeners and followers in Penticton's local brewing scene", said CFUZ President Dave Del Rizzo. "We're very grateful that the breweries participate, and we hpe that our program brings them a sales boost in the month preceding Okanagan Fest of Ale.". Del Rizzo goes on to explain that community radio is all about local involvement, and the participating breweries are great examples of businesses with a local focus.

During the month of March 2016, participating breweries in Penticton pledge to donate partial proceeds for each growler and grunt fill towards the development of community radio in Penticton. The winning participant is the one which fills the most during that time period, and wins the right to display the Microbrews for Microphones trophy for the remainder of the year in their tasting space.
