The Big Broadcast of 2014 Peach CIty Radio
On February 28, 2014, Peach City Radio debuted the 'Big Broadcast of 2014' at the Shatford Centre in Penticton BC. This live radio 'broadcast' was a salute to the original 'Big Braodcast' which took place on the very same stage in Penticton way back in 1936. This live radio drama included actors, foley artists and musicians, performing live on stage in front of a live audience.
The presentation of three shows (Feb 28, Mar 1 & 2, 2014) were the result of an amazing effort on behalf of the cast, crew and volunteers of Peach City Radio. All proceeds from the show go to the Peach City Community Radio Society, in aid of their efforts to establish a full-time, community-driven FM broadcast station in Penticton.
